In advance of Donald Trump's acceptance speech, Democratic Party of Virginia (DPVA) Chairwoman Susan Swecker released the following statement:

"If we have learned anything from the Republican convention this week, it’s that the Trump-Pence ticket is committed to dividing our country with bluster and bigotry. A Trump presidency would do serious harm to our security, our economy, and our shared American values. Virginia families deserve better than this. Hillary Clinton believes that we are stronger together and when we come together as a country, we can heal and solve our problems. She will create an economy that works for everyone, not just those at the top, and ensure that everyone has the opportunity to take part in our shared success."
