Richmond, Va. -- On Saturday, July 29, and Sunday, July 30, the Democratic Party of Virginia will host the very first statewide Weekend of Action of the general election. Community leaders, grassroots organizers and volunteers will canvass local neighborhoods and hold phone banks to urge Virginians to register to vote and vote for Democrats up and down the ballot in November.
On Sunday, Ralph Northam will be opening three new organizing offices in Norfolk, Hampton Roads and Virginia Beach. During the stops, Northam will discuss the need for the commonwealth’s next governor to defend the economic security, health, and equal rights of all Virginians.
Volunteers who are interested in signing up or finding a local event in their area can do so here.
