Richmond, VA – In today's Congressional debate, Jen Kiggans provided no plan to address inflation. Instead of giving Coastal Virginians anything of substantial value, Kiggans doubled down on opposing bills that would lower the costs of prescription drugs and create more good-paying jobs. 

Kiggans has made it clear that she would join Republicans like Kevin McCarthy in opposing cost-cutting legislation: She falsely criticized legislation the Inflation Reduction Act that is lowering health care costs, prescription drug costs, and energy costs for Virginia families. She also is opposed to the Bipartisan Infrastructure law and addressing our crumbling infrastructure in Virginia all the while creating thousands of good-paying American jobs.

“Jen Kiggans has no plan to address inflation,” said DPVA Spokesperson Gianni Snidle. “She’s made it clear that she would’ve voted against lowering prescription drug costs for our seniors and against good-paying American jobs. Elaine Luria has delivered for Coastal Virginians and isn’t stopping there. She continues to work across the aisle to lower costs for Coastal Virginians.”
