RICHMOND, VA — Today, as Joe Biden unveiled his plan to empower workers while creating millions of new clean energy jobs, DPVA Press Secretary Carson Brown released the following statement:

“We need real infrastructure investment, not a President who lets his friends in the fossil fuel industry pollute low-income communities and communities of color with impunity.

Trump is happy to alienate allies and flout collaboration on what the international community has decided is one of the most pressing issues of our time. 

On the campaign trail, Donald Trump promised to rebuild our infrastructure. But after nearly four years of erratic, incompetent leadership in the White House, Virginians are still waiting. We need a president who can deliver the resources we need to build a sustainable economy that works for everyone. Trump has repeatedly proven he isn't up to the job, and this November, we're going to put his failed presidency to an end.”

Reality: After nearly four years in office, Trump has still failed to pass the infrastructure funding we desperately need. His repeated broken promises have even become “a running joke in Washington.”
