RICHMOND, VA – The Democratic Party of Virginia issued the following statement on Hamas’ attack on Israeli civilians, which injured or killed thousands, including at least 11 Americans:

“The Democratic Party of Virginia vehemently condemns the reprehensible attacks launched by Hamas on Israel, an unprovoked act of violence that has resulted in the tragic loss of civilian lives. Our hearts go out to the victims affected by these senseless attacks and we express our unwavering support for the people of Israel.

We stand firmly in solidarity with Israel's right to defend itself against terrorism and aggression. The Democratic Party of Virginia supports Israel's efforts to safeguard its borders and maintain the well-being of its people.

Our thoughts are with the Israeli citizens facing these violent and illegal attacks, and we extend our deepest condolences to the families affected. The Democratic Party of Virginia remains committed to promoting peace, condemning terrorism, and supporting Israel's right to self-defense.”
