New Questions for Far-Right Extremist Yesli Vega

VA Congressional Candidate Shares CPAC Stage With Christian Nationalists, Election Deniers, and Autocratic Dictator

Richmond, VA – Yesli Vega, the anti-abortion extremist running in Virginia’s 7th District, has new questions following her appearance on the stage at CPAC alongside notorious far-right MAGA figures.

After Vega proclaimed the forthcoming election will be a battle between “good and evil,” we decided that she has a few new questions to answer following her CPAC appearance.

Donald Trump, the disgraced former President who continues to repeat the lie that the 2020 election was stolen, won the CPAC straw poll.

Yesli, did you vote for Mr. Trump?

Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) proclaimed the U.S. Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation should be defunded.

Yesli, you have voted three separate times to defund local law enforcement in your role as a member of the Prince William County Board of Supervisors. Do you agree with Rep. Biggs that  Congress should defund federal law enforcement too?

Insurrectionist Brandon Straka – who notably pleaded guilty for his role in the attack – held a January 6 prison exhibit at CPAC that attracted some of MAGA-world’s biggest stars for a photo-op

Yesli, did you pose for a photo with Mr. Straka?

Hungarian dictator Viktor Orbán delivered a keynote address at the far-right conference just days after Orbán gave a speech in which he declared, “we do not want to become peoples of mixed-race.”

Yesli, do you believe interracial marriage should remain constitutionally protected?

Former Trump advisor Steve Bannon continued to cast doubt on the legitimacy of the 2020 presidential election – going as far as calling President Joe Biden an “illegitimate president” – just weeks after Bannon was found guilty for contempt of Congress.

Yesli, do you believe Joe Biden is the legitimate President of the United States?

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene – who infamously sits on zero House committees because of her extreme beliefs – defended her claim that she is a Christian nationalist saying there is “nothing to be ashamed of.”

Yesli, are you a Christian nationalist like Rep. Greene?

“Anti-abortion extremist Yesli Vega’s decision to join the CPAC stage with some of the most disgraced members of MAGA-world proves just how out of touch she is with the values and beliefs of Virginians,” said DPVA Spokesperson Gianni Snidle. “Vega – who shared the stage with an antisemitic dictator, election deniers, so-called Christian nationalists, and more  – will do anything to bring more attention to her failing campaign, and she deserves to answer for these questions and more.”
