RICHMOND, VA - DPVA Chairwoman Susan Swecker released the following statement regarding today's United States Supreme Court decision in Janus v. AFSCME Council 31.

This morning the Supreme Court set labor unions across the country a step back in their decision ruling against workers' rights in Janus v. AFSCME Council 31. This case, which served as a political attack on working people, also sought to rig our economy and democracy in favor of out-of-touch billionaires and corrupt corporations even further. Today's Supreme Court decision only affirmed that attack. The Democratic Party of Virginia stands by our brothers and sisters of labor and their fight for a fairer country and a fairer Commonwealth.
