Please join Black Caucuses across the 8th Congressional District for a fundraiser in support of Kimberly Pope Adams as she builds her campaign to flip Virginia's 82nd district Back to Blue! The youngest of three daughters, Kim's father was a union worker at a local chemical plant, and her mom was the neighborhood Crossing Guard. They taught her at a young age that a public school diploma could take her anywhere. After graduating Virginia Tech in 2005, Kim briefly worked at a local CPA firm. Less than one year later, intrigued by how our tax dollars are spent, she became an Auditor for the Commonwealth of Virginia. With no regrets, Kim has been a public servant ever since. In addition to hearing Kim's inspiring story, we will also hear remarks from Delegate Dan Helmer and 8th CD member, Leader Charniele Herring, about the importance of expanding our Democratic majority in Richmond!
