The Franklin County Democrats are going to college this month. On Friday, April 19 th, we will hold our monthly Dining With Democrats in Franklin Hall on the campus of Ferrum College. We will meet in the cafeteria at 5:30 pm for an all-you-can eat buffet and reconvene at 6:15 in the Blue Ridge Mountain Room next door for our program. We have invited the students to join us and the topic will be “Creating Change” with an emphasis on registering and voting. We will be joined by members of the Franklin County Electoral Board and Karen Baker, candidate for Congress in the 9th District. The meal will cost $12 and will be collected at the door of the cafeteria on the third floor of Franklin Hall. There is an elevator available or you can enter on the second floor and take the stairs to the entrance. The available entrees include fish and other meat dishes, lots of vegetable options, vegetarian choices and desserts.
