Pulaski Democrats will meet on Wednesday, October 3, at 5:30 p.m. at the Pulaski County Courthouse, 45 Third St. NW, Pulaski, Virginia 24301. The meeting will be in the General District Court Room. A portion of the meeting will be an assembled Caucus to nominate a candidate for Commissioner of the Revenue following the sudden passing of Trina Rupe. Candidates need to file by October 2 with Suzanne Bowen, chair of the Pulaski Democratic Committee, in order to be considered for the Democratic nomination. The form is available on the committee Facebook page, or at https://bit.ly/2Q7VUo4 or by contacting Bowen at (540) 980-4664.

Candidates will be invited to speak at Wednesday's meeting. County and town citizens are welcome to attend, but only persons who agree in writing to support the party and its candidates will be allowed to vote. Pledge forms will be available at the meeting and will be collected before ballots are distributed. The election for Commissioner of the Revenue is scheduled for January 15, 2019.

The evening's agenda also includes discussion of Pulaski Fest, the Newbern Fall Festival, the upcoming Flaccavento town hall meeting, and other issues related to the November election.
