🎂 GIFT GUIDE: What Sears Wants For Her Birthday Instead of the Nasty Primary LaRock and Chase Got Her

by DPVA Press

VIRGINIA – While Dave LaRock and Amanda Chase got Winsome Earle-Sears a nasty primary for her birthday today, the Democratic Party of Virginia compiled a list of gifts that Sears actually wants to celebrate her big day and bet this is what she’ll be wishing for when she blows out her candles.

Gift #1: A Paper Shredder

  • With LaRock and Chase travelling the state collecting signatures to get on the GOP primary ballot and the Cook Political Report saying Sears “no longer has a clear path to the GOP nomination for Virginia governor,” Sears’ best chance of clearing the primary field might be shredding their signed petitions before they can be filed.

  • It’s why a paper shredder is the perfect gift for her birthday.

Gift #2: A Rain Poncho

  • With a rain poncho, she'll be ready for this messy Republican primary.

Gift #3: A Veto of Legislation Guaranteeing Access to Contraception

  • Just last month, Sears “couldn’t resist” voting against a bill that would guarantee Virginia women access to contraception and birth control. While it eventually passed the House and the Senate, Glenn Youngkin still has to sign it into law or veto it altogether.

  • Sears’ vote and her extreme, dangerous record on reproductive rights make this veto a fitting gift.

Gift #4: A Team That Responds to the Media

  • Sears’ campaign has become unresponsive, declining to comment on breaking stories affecting Virginia’s economy and outright ignoring requests.

  • For her birthday, Sears should get a new team and she already proved she has no problem cleaning house when she fired her strategy firm, Poolhouse—the same firm behind Glenn Youngkin in 2021—and replaced them with Coldspark, the media firm behind Nikki Haley’s failed presidential bid.

Gift #5: An Endorsement from Donald Trump

  • Despite defending and supporting Donald Trump’s efforts to gut Virginia jobs and attack the Commonwealth’s economy, Sears has yet to receive what she wants more than anything else: his endorsement. With a flailing campaign, a Trump endorsement would go a long way for Sears and help repair the many bridges she’s burned with the Virginia GOP.
