While more than 322,000 Virginians fear losing their health care, rural hospitals face cuts or closure, and Donald Trump continues to attack the Commonwealth’s economy and workforce, Governor Glenn Youngkin is nowhere to be found, choosing a political dinner in Iowa over the urgent needs of Virginians at home.
“The very least Glenn Youngkin could do is pretend to care about the struggles Virginians are facing, but he can’t even do that,” said DPVA Communications Director Kelsey Carolan. “While families worry about affording a doctor’s visit or putting dinner on the table, he’s chasing headlines out of state and supporting Donald Trump’s reckless agenda every step of the way. His focus isn’t on the Commonwealth—it’s on a political future that doesn’t exist.”
