Congresswoman Barbara Comstock is facing two major blows to her political playbook, and she's doing everything she can to avoid talking about it.
- Rubio is out. Comstock's early endorsement was a strategic play to boost her position in her diverse swing district. As Trump racks up delegates, she still refuses to say whether or not she'll support him.
- SCOTUS nomination. Immediately after Justice Scalia's passing, Comstock weighed in on her desire to see Senate colleagues deny President Obama his nominee. The majority of Americans want to see President Obama fill the vacancy, which puts Comstock in a tough position in her swing district.
"Comstock's strategic political plan is imploding and she can't stay silent for much longer." - Emily Bolton, Communications Director, Democratic Party of Virginia
