DPVA Chairman Senator Lamont Bagby issued the following statement on last night's overwhelming victories in SD-39 and HD-5:

“Congratulations to Senator-elect Elizabeth Bennett-Parker and Delegate-elect Kirk McPike on their victories in today’s general election,” DPVA Chair Senator Lamont Bagby said.

“Both ran strong campaigns rooted in service, leadership, and a deep commitment to their communities. Elizabeth has shown through her work in the House of Delegates that she is focused on tackling the everyday challenges facing Virginia families, while Kirk brings years of public service and a thoughtful, solutions-driven approach to public leadership. I look forward to welcoming Elizabeth to the Senate of Virginia and Kirk to the House of Delegates. I am eager to get to work alongside them to move the Commonwealth forward in this new chapter of leadership.”
