Richmond, VA — As the Republican nomination contest increasingly becomes a race to the right with candidates scrambling to embrace Donald Trump’s policies and rhetoric, Pete Snyder boasted today that he was “honored” to earn the endorsement of extremist Congressman Bob Good. 

Good has made headlines during his short time in office for calling the COVID-19 pandemic “phony,” voting to overturn the 2020 election in order to keep Donald Trump in office, and most recently, for breaking with over 400 other members of Congress to oppose awarding the Congressional Gold Medal to police officers who protected the Capitol on January 6. Good’s anti-LGBTQ rhetoric during his 2020 campaign also puts him right at home on team Snyder, where he’ll join the likes of E.W. Jackson. 

"Bob Good’s record is one of despicable rhetoric and dangerous far right extremism -- and anyone who is ‘honored’ to have his support doesn’t belong anywhere near the governor’s mansion," said Manuel Bonder, DPVA spokesman. "Pete Snyder’s announcement of this endorsement is yet another demonstration of Snyder’s extreme politics and it is further proof that he is fundamentally unfit to lead."
