Richmond, VA –– Today, Terry McAuliffe released a new ad highlighting Youngkin’s complete and total embrace of Trump and the former president’s hate and division –– from his support for white nationalists to his deadly election conspiracy theories. In 2017, Virginians saw the impact of Trump’s extremism and failed leadership when his white nationalists supporters stormed Charlottesville in an act of hate, racism, and deadly violence. This begs several gravely important questions for Glenn Youngkin:
- Does Youngkin agree with his favorite president’s handling of the white nationalist violence in Charlottesville?
- Does Glenn Youngkin agree with Donald Trump that their were “very fine people on both sides” of that racist, hateful, antisemitic demonstration?
- Does Glenn agree with the anger and hatred that motivated the violent attacks in Charlottesville?
If not, Glenn should speak up and denounce the violent white nationalism he and Donald Trump have fully embraced. Virginians are waiting.
A failure to answer can only be interpreted for what it is: Youngkin’s complete loyalty to Donald Trump and embrace of the former president’s support for white nationalism, division, and hatred.
