DPVA Chair Susan Swecker Congratulates Senator Louise Lucas on Reelection

RICHMOND, VA. – Democratic Party of Virginia Chairwoman Susan Swecker issued the following statement congratulating Senator Louise Lucas, DPVA Vice Chair for Outreach, on her re-election victory in today's SD-18 Election:

“Congratulations to Senator Louise Lucas on her re-election victory win today in SD-18. Senator Lucas has shown her dedication and passion for Virginia politics and has been an integral part of Portsmouth’s development and growth throughout her 28 years in office. Senator Lucas was a critical proponent for Medicaid expansion and increasing funding for public schools. The Democratic Party of Virginia knows Senator Lucas will remain and continue to be a prominent leader for us in the Senate, as Vice Chair of Outreach for DPVA, and as a member on the Steering Committee. Congratulations again to Senator Lucas and all those who made today a reality."
