DPVA Chair Swecker: One Month Until Early Voting Starts in Virginia

Will Glenn Youngkin commit to accepting the results of the November election?

Richmond, VA — Today marks one month until the start of early voting, and the Democratic Party of Virginia is laser focused on mobilizing voters in order to be successful up and down the ballot this November.

From volunteer recruitment and in-person canvassing, to voter registration and Get Out The Vote efforts, Virginia Democrats will leave no stone unturned as we work towards victories across the commonwealth. See here for critical information about early voting, voter registration and vote by mail.

Today, one month from the first day of early voting in Virginia, DPVA Chair Susan Swecker released the following statement:

“Voters are fired up to vote for Terry McAuliffe, Hala Ayala, Mark Herring, and Democrats down the ballot this fall because they are looking for leaders who will build a better future for all Virginians — not drag us backwards. Virginia Democrats are running to continue moving our commonwealth forward by creating good-paying jobs, making health care more affordable, and giving every Virginia child a world-class education.

Meanwhile, Glenn Youngkin and the Virginia GOP are advancing Donald Trump’s election conspiracy theories, plotting to defund Planned Parenthood, and pushing a right wing economic agenda that would destroy our economy and decimate public safety and education. The choice in this election could not be more clear.

Youngkin’s adherence to Trump’s dangerous election lies also begs the question: will he commit to accepting the results of the November election?”
