DPVA Chairman Lamont Bagby shared the following statement after Virginia fell from #1 to #4 on CNBC's "America's Top States for Business" rankings, partly due to Donald Trump's attacks on federal workers and Virginia's jobs.
"Let's be clear: Virginia's sharp decline in CNBC's 'America's Top States for Business' rankings, the worst standing since 2018, rests squarely on the Youngkin-Sears administration's shoulders. Their allegiance to Donald Trump's extreme agenda is costing us jobs, weakening our economy, and hurting our workforce. The choice this November is clear. We need to elect Abigail Spanberger, Ghazala Hashmi, and Jay Jones to protect our economy and businesses, and ensure that our Commonwealth is a place where working families can thrive."
