Richmond, VA — In the latest example of loyalty to Donald Trump being the ultimate litmus test for Virginia Republicans, Pete Snyder announced today that Sarah Huckabee Sanders  endorsed his campaign. 

Snyder has made it clear he wants to run as far to the right as possible, pledging that he is an “absolute” Trump supporter and saying that he wants “make sure that we have ‘America First’ policies in Virginia.” Snyder has also repeatedly made bigoted comments and elevated anti-LGBTQ voices in his campaign.

“Pete Snyder is scrambling to prove that he is 100% loyal to Donald Trump -- and this announcement is nothing more than another step towards far right extremism for Snyder," said Manuel Bonder, DPVA spokesman. "Pete Snyder’s announcement that he is ‘blessed and thankful’ to be endorsed by another Trump-acolyte is yet another demonstration of why he is wrong for Virginia.”
