VIRGINIA – Today, local elected leaders and a Virginia veteran launched the “Real Issues” tour, highlighting the devastating fallout of Donald Trump’s attacks on Virginia jobs that Winsome Earle-Sears backs and the real issues Virginians are now facing.
During an interview with CNN when asked about Trump’s attacks on jobs, Sears said they aren’t “real issues” despite the devastating consequences Virginians are facing.
“As a veteran, I can tell you firsthand the importance of ensuring that our VAs are fully staffed and prepared to care for and support the men and women who have served our country,” said retired U.S. Army Colonel Marc Harris. “I’ve been disappointed to see that instead of standing up for Virginia veterans and VAs across the Commonwealth, Winsome Earle-Sears has backed the attacks on jobs and funding cuts.”
“Whether it’s a federal worker who was indiscriminately fired, or a Veteran who now faces longer wait times at VA, or a Social Security recipient dealing with delays in receiving their benefits, or a small business owner who is losing customers because families are cutting back, Virginians are facing real issues because of Trump’s attacks on the Commonwealth,” said Senator Lashrecse Aird.
“Virginians deserve a strong leader who understands why this is a big deal, who will fight for us, and who will stand up to attacks on Virginia jobs. Winsome Earle-Sears has shown us again and again that she’s not up for the job,” said Delegate Rae Cousins.

Winsome Earle-Sears has dismissed and laughed off attacks on Virginia jobs over and over again.
- In a CNN interview, when asked if she supports Donald Trump’s attacks on Virginia’s jobs, Winsome Earle-Sears refused to answer and dismissed the jobs cuts, saying she wants “to talk about real issues” instead.
- Winsome Earle-Sears was caught on tape dismissing and laughing off the attacks on Virginia jobs, saying “the media is making it out to be a huge, huge thing… and I don’t understand why.”

- Sears also said “just about everybody has lost a job … It is life happening.”
Winsome Earle-Sears has defended Trump’s attackson Virginia’s workforce and economy.

- The Youngkin-Sears administration’s response to workers at risk of losing their jobs was “update your resume.”
- As Donald Trump attacked Virginia's workforce and economy, Sears declared she would help Trump “get the job done” if she were governor.
- Sears has also said “I’m supporting what the President is doing.”
In July, CNBC announced that Virginia lost the “Top State for Business” ranking due to the attacks on Virginia jobs that Sears supports.
