ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA – Today, ahead of the first day of early voting when Winsome Earle-Sears will campaign with DOGE architect Vivek Ramaswamy, fired federal workers and elected leaders held a roundtable discussion highlighting the devastating impact of Donald Trump’s job cuts in Virginia. This follows an interview with CNN where Sears was asked about Trump’s job cuts and replied that they aren’t “real issues” despite the harm Virginians are facing.
“As an elected leader and a representative of Northern Virginia, it’s been troubling to see how Donald Trump’s job cuts are hurting Virginians, and that Winsome Earle-Sears has cheered them on,” said Delegate Josh Thomas. “These Virginians deserve leaders who have a plan to address these real issues – not ignore them.”
“As a member of the Committee on the impacts of Federal Workforce and Funding Reductions, I can tell you just how devastating these job cuts have been for Virginians and the economy. Instead of fighting for the Commonwealth, Winsome Earle-Sears has backed Trump’s policies that are hurting Virginia,” said Delegate Marcus Simon.
