Winsome Earle-Sears: “[...] This legislation is more about pushing a political agenda [...]”
VIRGINIA – Following the veto of the Right to Contraception Act and Winsome Earle-Sears’ tie-breaking vote against it, in brand new comments reported by Radio IQ, Sears finally shared the reason behind her vote: she believes protecting access to birth control and contraception is "pushing a political agenda.”
“Winsome Earle-Sears equating protecting access to contraception to “pushing a political agenda” is a reminder of her refusal to protect Virginians’ fundamental rights. While Virginians deserve leaders who will protect their rights, Sears supports a dangerous agenda that would strip Virginia women of their right to make decisions about their own bodies,” said DPVA Spokesperson Maggie Amjad.
