NORTH CHESTERFIELD, VA – The campaign of Sheila Bynum-Coleman, the Democratic candidate for the 66th District of the Virginia House of Delegates running against Speaker Kirk Cox, has released the following statement regarding the June filing report:
"Thanks to a significant groundswell of grassroots support, Sheila Bynum-Coleman outraised Speaker of the Virginia House of Delegates Kirk Cox for the June filing period. With over 96% of her total contributions under $100, Sheila’s massive haul contrasts sharply with that of the speaker, who managed to bring in only two such low dollar contributions.
"'Sheila’s grassroots support demonstrates that her central messaging of preventing gun violence and making the local community a safer place is resonating with voters of all affiliations in Chesterfield County and the City of Colonial Heights,' said Jeremy Levinson, advisor to the campaign.
