Fringe Conspiracy Theorist Corey Stewart Endorses Fringe Conspiracy Theorist Scott Parkinson

by DPVA Press

Richmond, VA – Today, Fringe Conspiracy Theorist Corey Stewart – who received support from a white nationalist organizer of the “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville where a woman was murdered by a neo-Nazi—endorsed Fringe Conspiracy Theorist Scott Parkinson.

Corey Stewart lost handily to Tim Kaine in 2018 because his dangerous views are out-of-touch with Virginians. Stewart has called himself “Trump before Trump was Trump,” is a Confederate sympathizer, and a sympathizer to the dangerous 2017 “Unite The Right” rally in Charlottesville. And if there is a person who is too fringe, too racist, too anti-Muslim, too anti-Semitic, Corey Stewart is likely a friend of theirs.

Scott Parkinson has spouted his fair share of conspiracy theories, including recently claiming that pedophiles are part of the LGBTQ community. By accepting this shameful endorsement, Scott Parkinson has shown there is no low too low for his political ambition.

“Corey Stewart and Scott Parkinson are disgusting conspiracy theorists who deserve each other,” said DPVA Chairwoman Susan Swecker. “Besides their fringe beliefs, they share one thing in common: their out-of-touch and dangerous ideas make them both losers. Virginians will see right through Scott Parkinson’s lies and extremism – just like they did for Corey Stewart – and reject him this November.”
