RICHMOND, VA – Republican State Senator and failed VA-07 congressional candidate, Bryce Reeves, has announced an upcoming fundraiser by threatening to murder Democrats.

In an apparent reference to Paramount Network’s streaming television series “Yellowstone,” the GOP Senator advertises his plans to “Take Dems to the Train Station in 2023.” In “Yellowstone,” taking someone to the “train station” is understood to mean murdering someone and disposing of the victim’s body off of a cliff.

“This rhetoric has no place in Virginia’s political discourse,” said Liam Watson, Press Secretary for the Democratic Party of Virginia. “Senator Reeves’ attempt to fundraise off of a threat to murder his fellow Virginians should horrify us all. Even for MAGA Republicans, for whom violent messaging has become a mainstay, Senator Reeves’ statement has crossed a line of decency.”
