Virginia Mercury: Survey shows Earle-Sears’ opposition to LGBTQ+ workplace protections, adoptions, marriages

VIRGINIA – It’s been nearly a week and Winsome Earle-Sears has refused to walk back any of her extreme positions following reporting from the Virginia Mercury. In an unearthed candidate survey, Sears pledged to support letting Virginians get fired for being gay and block same-sex couples from adopting children, while also calling homosexuality an “immoral lifestyle choice.”
 
“Winsome Earle-Sears owes Virginians answers about why she won’t protect their fundamental freedoms,” said DPVA Spokesperson Maggie Amjad.
 
Questions Sears Must Answer: 

• Why do you support letting Virginians get fired for being gay? 
• Why do you think same-sex couples shouldn’t be able to adopt children? 
• Why do you think being gay is an “immoral lifestyle choice”? 
• Why won’t you give Virginians the answers they deserve?
