Virginia Scope: Chase talks gubernatorial campaign
- Amanda Chase: “Well, initially, I had decided to get behind our Republican candidate. But after receiving a number of phone calls about her campaign having some issues, we'll leave it at that.”
- Chase: “So we are hitting our targets. And I won't give out my campaign strategy here. But I will just say, at first I was a little skeptical whenever I accepted the call, but I said, look, if you guys recruit me and you get the signatures. Understand that it's mostly on you to get the signatures. But my phone has been blowing up with people across the state and every single congressional district.”
- Chase: “...in the last couple of weeks, there's been some articles about, uh, her, her campaign having significant issues going through multiple campaign teams.”
- Chase: “What I can tell you is that I know that he is watching this race. I have received a phone call from the White House, and I know that he's watching this race.”
- Chase: “I feel very positive that by my being in this race that there could be a, um, an endorsement in this race. President Trump has said in a video that he was going to be with me in my next campaign. So I would love to have his endorsement.”
