On Tuesday night, Jason Miyares spoke at a virtual event hosted by The Family Foundation devoted to rolling back reproductive rights and stopping the amendment that will codify access to abortion, birth control, and IVF in Virginia’s constitution. He praised the foundation — which has compared IVF to “child trafficking” and deemed parents who use IVF to grow their families as “selfish”— saying he is “excited to see the work they continue to do and the lasting impact they will have on our Commonwealth and our nation.”

“Jason Miyares is once again showing his true colors by praising and partnering with extreme, anti-choice activists instead of standing up for the fundamental rights and health of women across Virginia. Women deserve the freedom to grow their families however and whenever they choose — and they deserve answers about why Miyares continues to align himself with a group devoted to rolling back those rights,” said DPVA Communications Director Kelsey Carolan.
