Richmond, VA – Today, the Democratic Party of Virginia released a new video highlighting the extreme lengths Yesli Vega is taking to hide her shocking views on a woman’s right to choose from the voters of Virginia’s 7th District. 

Yesli Vega knows her anti-abortion extremism is toxic and out of step with the values and beliefs of Virginians. 

Vega supports government-mandated pregnancies, even in cases where the mother’s life is in danger, has asserted that women who are raped cannot become pregnant, and believes only God – not a doctor of medical provider – should decide the life of a mother.  

For all of these reasons, Vega has routinely avoided answering questions on abortion— a major issue in the race. 

“Yesli Vega will go to any lengths to avoid talking about how she would gut Virginians’ reproductive rights,” said DPVA Spokesperson Gianni Snidle. “While she’ll keep trying to hide her extreme beliefs, Virginians won’t be fooled by her silence. Her anti-abortion beliefs are already on record. She’s out of touch and too extreme for Virginians.”
