Richmond, VA –New recordings released today by POLITICO found that Rep. Bob Good made blatantly racist comments about Afghan refugees last year.  In the recordings, Rep. Bob Good told supporters that he opposed Afghan refugees relocating to the United States, and would rather have the  refugees relocate to a country “where they would fit better culturally and religiously and ethnically and so forth.”

The Congressman’s comments are revolting and have no place here in Virginia,”  said DPVA Spokesperson Gianni Snidle. “We should be welcoming refugees with open arms, not making racist excuses to reject them. If there's any question about where the Republican Party is heading, look no further than Rep. Bob Good.”
