WATCH: Sen. John Warner (R) announces support for Leslie Cockburn

Richmond, VA -- With less than week left until Election Day, John W. Warner, former 5-term Republican Senator from Virginia, Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee and U.S. Secretary of the Navy, announced his support for Democrat Leslie Cockburn in Virginia’s 5th Congressional District.

Sen. Warner said that Cockburn "brings a unique combination" of experiences and an understanding of the important issues facing America and the world.

Recent polling in VA-05 has shown Cockburn with a 1 point lead.
