VIRGINIA – With early voting starting this week, Virginians know the real issues with Winsome Earle-Sears’ extreme agenda. As three rural clinics are set to close because of the Trump tax bill that Sears backed and Virginia Veterans call Sears out for backing attacks on VA, Sears can’t hide from the damage she’s done to Virginia.
SETTLING THIS WEEK’S SCORE
Winsome’s Wins:
- Sears on the Big Screen: Last week the Spanberger for Governor campaign released a new TV and digital ad calling out Winsome Earle-Sears for praising Trump’s tax law that will drive up costs for Virginia families.
Winsome’s Losses:
- “Real Issues” Tour Stops in Norfolk: On Wednesday, local veterans and elected leaders held a roundtable discussion highlighting the devastating fallout of Donald Trump’s job cuts in Virginia that Winsome Earle-Sears backs. Their conversation follows Sears saying the layoffs aren’t “real issues” despite the harm Virginians are facing.
- Sears Put Your Record(s) On: While Sears was scheduled to sit down with the Virginia Mercury, she backed out at the last minute and has refused to respond to their requests, but her record of backing Medicaid cuts and attacking reproductive rights speaks for itself. Dogwood also put Sears’ record on blast calling her out for backing Donald Trump’s jobs and healthcare cuts, and attacking reproductive rights.
- Are Clinics Closing “Great Things”?: Augusta Medical Group announced three of their locations have been forced to close as a result of Trump’s tax law that Winsome Earle-Sears has praised. Sears said the law “does so many great things” while it will take healthcare away from 350,000 Virginians and force rural hospitals and health centers to close. Sears has refused to comment on the closures.
As Sears lies about healthcare cuts and backs Trump’s job cuts, this week is more proof that Virginians can’t trust Sears and with her, it’s Virginians who stand to lose the most.
