• Extremely Bad Speeches: New reporting from the Advocate details Winsome Earle-Sears’ extreme record of opposing LGBTQ and reproductive rights, including delivering commencement addresses at two schools that openly denounce marriage equality and reproductive rights. 

• Lights, Camera, Action: In her first sit down interview in a while, Sears doubled down on her opposition to marriage equality saying “civil unions. Fine,” when asked if she supports marriage equality. 

Winsome’s Losses:

• Liar, Liar, Pants on Fire: During an interview with Richmond’s News 8, when asked if she would limit access to abortion, Winsome Earle-Sears outright lied, saying “I never said limiting” despite her long record of attacking reproductive rights, supporting a near-total abortion ban, and saying she would “do everything in [her] power” to end abortion in Virginia.

• Sears Stays Silent:  As threats to Medicaid funding put Virginians’ access to affordable healthcare at risk, elected leaders and Virginians with personal Medicaid stories called Sears out for her ongoing silence on the cuts and her refusal to stand up for Virginians. 

• Too Extreme for Virginia: New reporting from Politico highlights Winsome Earle-Sears’ extreme record cheering on Donald Trump's attacks on Virginia's workforce and economy and refusing to stand up for Virginians’ rights.
