VIRGINIA – It’s been another week of flops for Winsome Earle-Sears. From taking money from a shady far-right GOP billionaire to being called out for her extreme schemes to defund public education and supporting attacks on Virginia jobs to dismissing the devastating reality of Trump’s tariffs for Virginia families, Sears is showing Virginians she isn’t on their side.

Winsome’s Wins:

• Shady Sears: New reporting from the American Journal News exposed that Winsome Earle-Sears accepted tens of thousands of dollars from shady far-right billionaire Harlan Crow who has a reputation for lavish (and ethically questionable) gifts. 

Winsome’s Losses:

• Sears Gets Schooled: Ahead of Winsome Earle-Sears’ stop in Charlottesville, local elected officials and the Virginia Education Association president called out Sears for her harmful agenda that would gut public education and her refusal to stand up to the chaos from D.C. that will hurt Virginia's students.
• Pink Slipped: Outside of Winsome Earle-Sears’ campaign stop in Henrico, Virginians called out Sears for dismissing and downplaying the attacks on federal jobs. Attendees handed out “pink slips” highlighting Sears’ support of Trump’s attacks on Virginia jobs.  
• Tariff Trouble: After the Volvo Group North America announced 250-350 local workers would be laid off at its Volvo Trucks New River Valley plant in Pulaski County because of Trump’s tariffs, Winsome Earle-Sears dismissed the harm they are causing Virginians, ignoring the layoffs and doubling down on her support of Trump.  This follows Sears’ comments calling the tariffs “good” and a “benefit” behind closed doors.
