VIRGINIA – It’s been another week of fails and flops for Winsome Earle-Sears and her flailing campaign. From unearthed comments she can’t escape to ejecting a reporter from her campaign event to avoid commenting on the Medicaid cuts, appearances with far-right extremists like Byron Donalds and visits to anti-LGBTQ schools, the cat is out of the bag, Sears stands to the far-right of Glenn Youngkin.

Winsome’s Wins:

• To the Right: New reporting from NBC News details how Winsome Earle-Sears has a record of “staking out positions to [Glenn] Youngkin’s right,” including significantly “more conservative” positions like her support for a near-total abortion ban and opposing marriage equality. While Sears wasn’t trying to hide her extreme agenda, she doesn’t have to worry about anyone being confused about where she stands. 
• Sears Makes the Front Page: The Daily Progress featured Sears’ silence on Medicaid cuts on their front page with the headline “Her Silence Speaks Volumes.” The story highlighted how “Earle-Sears’ campaign has declined multiple interview requests on the subject from multiple news outlets, and the campaign did not immediately respond to a Daily Progress inquiry.”    
• Sears Campaigns with Another Out-of-State and Out-of-Step Politician: Yesterday, Winsome Earle-Sears headlined an event alongside fellow anti-choice Republican Byron Donalds, who like Sears has an extreme record opposing abortion rights and contraception. 
• Another Extreme Address: Tonight, Winsome Earle-Sears is slated to deliver the commencement address at another anti-LGBTQ school in Chesapeake. As reported by The Advocate, Atlantic Shores Christian School’s statement of faith declares that homosexuality and bisexuality are “sinful and prohibited” and is in line with Sears being “morally opposed” to marriage equality.
• Sears Stumps on Trump: New reporting from the Richmond Times-Dispatch details how Winsome Earle-Sears is pushing Donald Trump’s agenda that is killing Virginia jobs and threatening to rip health care away from hundreds of thousands of Virginians. Sears previously downplayed and dismissed the attacks on Virginia jobs saying “the media is making it out to be a huge, huge thing… and I don’t understand why” and has said she will help Trump “get the job done.”  

Winsome’s Losses:

• More Unearthed Comments Sears Can’t Escape: New reporting from Hampton Roads’ 13 News Now highlights Virginians responding to Winsome Earle-Sears’ recently unearthed comments telling Virginia women “we need to make our choices before we're pregnant, not, you know, after. You already made a choice.”  Spoiler alert: they aren’t supporting Sears or her extreme attacks on reproductive rights. 
• Exclusive Events: This week, the Sears campaign came under fire after ejecting a news reporter from a campaign event in Falls Church in their latest effort to avoid discussing Trump’s plan to gut Medicaid. The ejection followed the Daily Progress slamming Sears for her silence on the cuts.
