VIRGINIA – With less than three weeks until Election Day, Winsome Earle-Sears’ wins are dwindling. As the GOP government shutdown hits Virginia harder than most other states and Sears is caught in lies about her record, there are barely any wins for her this week.

• Sears-backed Shutdown Continues: As Donald Trump fires even more Virginians during his government shutdown, Winsome Earle-Sears continues to back the job cuts and refuses to call on Trump to stop attacking the Commonwealth’s economy. New reporting shows that the shutdown is hitting  Virginia “harder than most other states.” 
• Fact Checked by FOX: In an interview on FOX News Sunday, Winsome Earle-Sears was caught in an outright lie about Virginia’s unemployment rate, claiming “unemployment is down.” Fox host Shannon Bream then pointed out that data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics shows the unemployment rate increasing from 2.7% to 3.6% while Sears has been Lt Governor. 
• “Not Discrimination”: Sears can’t escape her debate comments saying that opposing gay marriage and firing Virginians for being gay are “not discrimination.” The comments are being called the “moment” and the “theme” of the debate. 
• Reid Sets the Record Straight (Again): In a new interview with WSET ABC 13, John Reid doubles down that Winsome Earle-Sears is against gay marriage. Reid says, “There's no question Winsome is not supportive of gay marriage.” This interview follows his previous comments that Sears is “100% against” gay marriage.

As Sears lies about her record and backs a devastating government shutdown, this week was more proof that Virginians can’t trust Sears and with her, it’s Virginians who stand to lose the most.
