VIRGINIA – With a week and a half to go until Election Day, Winsome Earle-Sears can’t stop lying about her dangerous record and her extreme agenda for the Commonwealth.
SETTLING THIS WEEK’S SCORE
Winsome’s Wins:
- Sears’ Wide-Open Schedule: New reporting from NOTUS details that while Winsome Earle-Sears touts her work as Lt. Gov., the reality is she has a largely empty schedule and “spends long periods not actively working in an official capacity.” The good thing for Sears is that after November 4th, she’ll be back to having the wide-open schedule she’s used to.
Winsome’s Losses:
- Third Time’s the Charm: During a new interview on FOX News, Winsome Earle-Sears refused (for the third time) to call on Donald Trump to end the GOP government shutdown and stop firing Virginians. When asked directly if she would call on Trump to negotiate, Sears said “it’s a great question” (we agree!), but refused to answer it.
- Economic Warning Signs: A new column from the Cardinal News highlights three different economic reports all issuing warnings about the Commonwealth’s economy because of Donald Trump’s attacks on Virginia jobs. Winsome Earle-Sears backs Trump’s job cuts and has repeatedly downplayed and dismissed the attacks on jobs
- Caught in a Lie: In a new interview on Jillian Michaels’ podcast “Keeping It Real,” Winsome Earle-Sears lied again about opposing same-sex marriage and her comments during the debate that firing Virginians for being gay is “not discrimination.” Meanwhile, Sears has an extensive record attacking same-sex marriage and supports letting Virginians be fired for being gay.
- Sears-Backed Shutdown: Today, as federal workers are slated to miss their first full paycheck as the government shutdown continues, Winsome Earle-Sears continues to refuse to call on Donald Trump to stop attempting to fire more Virginians.
As Sears lies about her record and backs a devastating government shutdown, this week was more proof that Virginians can’t trust Sears and with her, it’s Virginians who stand to lose the most.
