Tonight, for the final time, Governor Terry McAuliffe will address a joint session of the Virginia General Assembly and speak on the state of the Commonwealth.

Governor McAuliffe ran for office in 2013 on "Putting Jobs First" and he has done exactly that. Virginia has added over 200,000 jobs since January 2014 and unemployment has fallen from 5.4% down to 3.7%, dropping in every county in the Commonwealth. Governor McAuliffe has also made record investments in redesigning our education system to ensure the success of the bedrock of the New Virginia Economy - our children.

In his address tonight, Governor McAuliffe will outline how Virginia can build on this progress and encourage the General Assembly to work in a bipartisan fashion to further improve the lives of all Virginians.
