RICHMOND, VA – Tomorrow, Democratic voters across the Ninth State Senate District will head to the polls to elect a Democratic nominee to fill the unexpired Senate term of Congresswoman-elect Jennifer McClellan.
Polls will be open from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Any Democratic voter in Virginia’s Ninth State Senate District may vote at any of these four polling locations:
- Ashland Municipal Building - 121 Thompson St, Ashland, VA 23005
- Charles City County Administration Building - 10900 Courthouse Rd, Charles City, VA 23030
- East Henrico Government Center - 3820 Nine Mile Rd, Richmond, VA 23223
- Virginia Union University Living and Learning Center - 1500 N Lombardy St, Richmond, VA 23220
Ballot counting will commence as ballots begin to arrive at the Democratic Party of Virginia’s Headquarters, approximately 6:00 PM on Sunday, February 26, 2023. The vote-counting process has no definitive end time, and is likely to continue until a nominee has emerged.
