DPVA Chair Susan Swecker Congratulates Senator Jennifer McClellan on Reelection 

RICHMOND, VA. – Democratic Party of Virginia Chairwoman Susan Swecker issued the following statement congratulating Senator Jennifer McClellan, Virginia DNC member, on her re-election win in today's SD-9 Election:

“Congratulations to Senator Jennifer McClellan on her re-election victory tonight in SD-9. Senator McClellan has proven that she works in the interest of all Virginians during her time in the House of Delegates and Senate. Time and time again, Senator McClellan has led the fight in breaking the school-to-prison pipeline, reforming our criminal justice system, and protecting women’s rights. After serving on multiple committees in both chambers regarding these pertinent issues, Senator McClellan will continue to fight for legislation that protects these progressive values as a Senator. She has also been invaluable to DPVA as a member of Virginia DNC and on the Steering Committee. Congratulations again to Senator McClellan and all those who supported her in this victory."
