RICHMOND, VA - Democratic Party of Virginia Chairwoman Susan Swecker issued the following statement on Speaker-designee Eileen Filler-Corn's newly announced chair positions: 

"It is a new day in Richmond. Speaker-designee Filler-Corn's diverse and historic first four choices for committee chairs set the tone that the incoming House of Delegates will deliver for all Virginians. Congratulations to Chair-appointees Torian, Watts, Ward, and Tyler. Virginians can be confident they will work with Speaker-designee Filler-Corn to move our Commonwealth forward. Tremendous selections," said Susan Swecker, Chairwoman of the Democratic Party of Virginia. 

Filler-Corn announced the following Delegates would be appointed to chair positions today: 

• Del. Luke Torian, Appropriations Committee
• Del. Vivian Watts, Finance Committee
• Del. Jeion Ward, Commerce and Labor Committee
• Del. Roslyn Tyler, Education Committee
