Youngkin to speak in Prince William County, which received a vital $92 million lifeline he steadfastly opposes

Richmond, VA — Tonight, Virginians will hear from a hardline Republican politician whose agenda includes threatening to gut their health care and opposing crucial relief for small businesses and working families. While this time it’s not Donald Trump, it might as well be. Glenn Youngkin’s extreme positions will be on full display this evening as he speaks in Prince William County, a community that received a critical lifeline of over $90 million from the American Rescue Plan. 

Youngkin is running on his complete allegiance to Trump and his extreme agenda. Youngkin has stated that “Trump represents so much of why I'm running,” and is refusing to separate himself from the disgraced former president.

Youngkin has even attacked the American Rescue Plan -- calling it “unnecessary” and “absolutely [...] wrong” -- despite the fact that it provides critical COVID-19 relief to working families, small businesses, and entire communities across the Commonwealth. While Youngkin speaks about the rest of his hardline agenda, it will be crystal clear that he stands opposed to Virginia’s economic recovery.

“At tonight’s event, Glenn Youngkin must explain his hardline opposition to the crucial COVID-19 relief that has been an essential lifeline for small businesses and working families across the Commonwealth,” said Manuel Bonder, DPVA spokesman. “Youngkin’s unconscionable position is yet another testament to the fact that he is too extreme and too out of touch to lead Virginia.”
