The Republican candidates for governor are scrambling to earn Trump’s endorsement, so DPVA decided to make their trips to see their party’s leader a bit easier
Richmond, VA — This week, Amanda Chase announced that she will be traveling to Mar-a-Lago to meet with Donald Trump, raising a key question: who will the former president endorse in this GOP primary? Now that Chase has kicked off Virginia Republicans’ mad dash to Mar-a-Lago, the DPVA wanted to make sure the rest of these extreme candidates have what they need for their eventual trips to beg Donald Trump for his support.
DPVA sent these travel kits for Pete Snyder, Glenn Youngkin, and Kirk Cox to the Republican Party of Virginia’s office.
Chase has made clear that she is running as “Trump in Heels” and that she “stands for everything he stands for.” She has also routinely attacked her opponents as “weak kneed Republicans.” Not to be outdone,Chase’s opponents have fought hard to prove their allegiance to Trump and his extreme, unpopular policies. Support for Trump has been the core litmus test of this GOP primary, as the candidates scramble desperately to prove their loyalty to the former president who lost Virginia by 10 points.
“Between advancing deranged election conspiracy theories, espousing extreme bigotry, and viciously attacking each others’ character, the Republicans running for governor have been busy,” said DPVA spokesman Manuel Bonder. “Hopefully, these travel kits will make their eventual trips to Mar-a-Lago to beg for Donald Trump’s endorsement just a bit easier.”
