As Scott Taylor refuses to answer whether he’ll support Corey Stewart, his nervousness is boiling over. He is now strangely questioning the service of a Navy veteran to deflect the heat. DPVA Chairwoman Swecker calls on Rep. Taylor to immediately apologize.

Richmond, VA – As Scott Taylor dips and dodges on whether he supports Republican standard-bearer Corey Stewart, this weekend he went completely off the rails. Rep. Taylor took to Twitter in a "convoluted screed" and seemingly questioned Elaine Luria’s 20 years of service in the U.S. Navy.

As a veteran, it would seem that Scott Taylor would find it offensive to even think to question someone's service. However, Rep. Taylor used Corey Stewart's "vicious, ruthless" campaign tactics in tweeting “Does this mean she is lying..?”  and "she must be lying service.." regarding Elaine Luria’s service in the U.S. Navy.

Elaine Luria, who served her country admirably for over 20 years, joined the U.S. Navy at the age of 17 in a career culminating with her appointment as a Navy Commander.

Elaine Luria served this country. Elaine Luria did nothing to deserve this from Scott Taylor. Clearly, Scott Taylor is nervous about re-election this fall, but his anxiety is no excuse for seemingly questioning Elaine Luria’s military service.

DPVA Chairwoman Susan Swecker called on Rep. Taylor to apologize to Elaine Luria.

"Scott Taylor is clearly frustrated that VA-02 voters want to know where he stands on Corey Stewart. It is driving him bananas. However frustrated Rep. Taylor may be, there is no excuse for his comments about Elaine Luria's 20 years of admirable service. It is shameful and he should apolgize immediately."
