RICHMOND, VA – Youngkin, with his eyes still fixed on his own national political ambitions, is planning to make a trip to California. In the past year alone, Youngkin has made more than a dozen out-of-state trips to visit with donors and hold rallies for far-right extremists.
Even as he’s attempting to carve out a lane for himself in the 2024 GOP presidential primary, Youngkin has yet to distinguish himself from disgraced former president, Donald Trump, praising his policy positions as “extremely good.”
Youngkin has proposed jailing women who have abortions and doctors who provide them, endorsed election denier and January 6 attendee Del. McGuire, and proposed cutting the corporate tax rate at the expense of Virginia families – all of which allies him with Trump’s MAGA agenda.
“Youngkin is realizing that 2024 GOP primary voters will not take him seriously, especially since he has yet to eke out even one legislative victory during his tenure,” said Liam Watson, Press Secretary for the Democratic Party of Virginia. “Even now, as he spends his time California Dreamin’, Youngkin’s legislative successes have been extremely limited, despite his far-right agenda. We’ll keep it that way this November by retaking a majority in the House of Delegates and holding the Virginia Senate.”
