RICHMOND, Va. – Democratic Party of Virginia Chairwoman Susan Swecker today issued the following statement on the release of the Senate’s updated version of Trumpcare:

"The reality of this bill is simple: Republicans want to take health care away from millions of Americans. Nothing about this new version demonstrates otherwise. Senator McConnell’s obsessive vendetta against President Obama’saccomplishments and the Affordable Care Act will cause thousands of Virginian families to suffer if left unchecked. The Majority Leader is willing to go to any length to gut programs that support working families – which raises the question: shouldn't this be called Trump non-care?"
